Hey Guys.

I don’t post in communities too often, but today I’m desperate.

So I’m studying abroad right now in japan. Everything seemed to be going well, until I ended up snacking a lot the past couple days.
And eating before and after naps.. I feel like I’ve gained a little bit of weight back.

Ugh.. at least the food is pretty healthy here?? Except.. they eat a ton of white carbs (rice). Blah. So I decided I’m not eating rice anymore for dinner.

I have been going to a gym for the past 3 years, and now all of the sudden, I don’t. so.. I need to actually push myself to get my ass outside and go jogging. I’m aiming for at least 3 times a week. And maybe I’ll do more days from there.

I’m staying with a host family, and they don’t end up eating dinner until 8pm. Which bugs the hell out of me, because I’m used to eating at 6pm and I’ll stop eating after 7pm, which helps me lose weight. I’ve contemplated just telling the mom that it’s too late for me and making my own dinner around 6pm, but I feel like that’d be kind of rude.

So instead, at least every Friday, I’ll plan on making myself dinner at 6pm (probably some eggs), and then go out with friends around 8pm. Maybe I’ll start doing it more often, just as long as I’m not going out to drink. Yeesh.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Anyone want a diet buddy? Feel free to add me.

Update [Jun 08 2007 / 6:20am]

Hey everyone! I hope your summers are going well. I just got back from Israel a few days ago. We drank SO much water in Israel so I'm going to try to stick with that because it really helps. Also the food wasn't greasy like it is here so I want to avoid greasy food also. So anyway, I've lost some more weight so I thought I would update. Right now I am 127.6 lbs and 20.8% body fat. Lowest so far. I'm going to keep it up! :)

INTERNET [May 19 2007 / 7:28pm]

ok wow so I finally dont have dial up anymore now I have wireless so Ill be updating A LOT!

To be completely honest, having the internet and access to lj and spark people has helped a lot since February. I need the internet. I get more feedback from LJ then just talking to friends and family and I always find myself excited to log onto spark people and livejournal....so I went out today and got a wireless adapter and woohoo Im connected!

The only thing is I dont get a really great connection in my room so I have to either be in the living room or on the outside porch. But whatever at least I have internet...

Im stil l 130. I didnt get to exercise today I had to help my mom with the yard sale at our house....I went to the mall with my friend and got the internet hooked up...its been raining all day so I cant run...and my treadmill is actually outside because I cant fit it in the house....so blah...cant wait for tomorrow to come its supposed to be nice out AND my new rule now is to get up and exercise early in the morning to get it out of the way because the way my mom needs me and with starting work this week Im never gonna have time =)

AND I ate great today!!!<33 woohoo<33

Ill update tomorrow!! xoxo

Hi all! [May 15 2007 / 12:56pm]

[ mood | chipper ]

I just wanted to say hi, and that I've decided to look into using SparkPeople to aid in my losing weight.

After my first year at college, I decided I don't want to eat like a pig anymore and go back to my previous 120 pounds. I literally gained the Freshman 15 after my weight never changing (permanently) no matter what I did. So now it's time to change!

Hope everything is going well for y'all!

Bikini Body! [May 10 2007 / 10:06am]

Hi, I'm Maddie and I'm 18 years old. I'm a freshman in a junior college this year, but am still living at home. However, my school is an hour-ish away from my house, so I spend the majority of my day in my car. This is what has made it so difficult for me to eat healthy! Plus, having "naturally skinny" friends who eat McDonalds and wash it down with Starbucks doesn't help either...

When I started school last fall I was about 150lbs. I had gained weight my senior year, but was okay with it. Most of it had gone to my boobs. However, this year I have gained another 10lbs and am now at about 160.

My longterm goal is to be 135lbs, and short term include 150lbs. I've been dieting and exercising to do this, and am trying to be healthy as possible. I would love to meet anyone who is going through the same struggles that I am. :)

new here 5'2" [Apr 26 2007 / 1:25pm]

So I'm sooo glad I've finally found a community for college students.. with only girls at that.

I'm a sophomore in college.

Height: 5'2"
Highest Weight: 132
Lowest: 110
Current Weight: 122.5
Goal Weight: 115 (for now... I may shoot for 112 depending on how i feel)

Right now I've been listening to these weight loss cds my parents bought.. by this guy named jonny bowden.

a lot of what he says makes sense.
it's a lot like south beach.
eating protein and veggies for the first 2 weeks, and slowly adding those back in.

I havent officially begun it yet. but plan to once I'm living on my own in NJ this summer. I'll be interning in NY so that'll keep me busy and focused. I also got a membership to Crunch Fitness there..
I'm excited.

Lately.. My weight has been hovering between 121 to 122.5 lbs.. and I used to be at like 125 a few weeks ago.. cept I'm not sure I can see a difference really..
I've been working out at least 6 days a week.. burning 500 cals each time.
I dont know.. maybe I just need to be more patient and it'll actually kind of show once I've lost some more weight. Does anyone know why this might be?

anyway, if anyone has some similar stats or just wants a buddy to keep them motivated and vice versa... add me.
